The article explores the current trends in regional online journalism. The authors analyzed news headlines published on the Kuzbass online news media to identify productive patterns. Clickbait titles are a new phenomenon that borders on online journalism and news aggregators. As a rule, they disguise themselves as news headlines; however, they demonstrate semantic, lexical, stylistic, syntactic, and punctuation signs that reveal their belonging to the Yandex news aggregator.
