In a rapidly evolving business environment, intergenerational transfer of experience and best practices is a relevant task that keeps organizations and companies sustainable and competitive, especially in such strategic industries as fuel and energy. In this sphere, attractive working conditions, career opportunities, and effective HR management are key factors in retaining and attracting new qualified personnel. Sustainable corporate development depends on the quality of professional intergenerational training and managerial culture. The authors identified effective ways and methods of transferring professional experience from experienced employees to younger ones. They classified approaches and methods of experience transfer and evaluated their effectiveness in corporate environment as part of mentoring programs, internships, and training initiatives in the fuel and energy complex of the Samara Region, Russia. The authors also developed a set of recommendations based on the best practices in management teamwork. The method of mentoring demonstrated good prospects for professional skills transfer and corporate culture. Internships and competitions for managers also contribute to professional growth, corporate culture, as well as increasing staff motivation. Effective intergenerational transfer of experience is as a strategic tool that boosts corporate performance. Companies that implement training and mentoring programs demonstrate higher staff engagement and attract valuable assets.
