Mission

Scientific journal "Bulletin of Kemerovo State University. Series: Political, Sociological, and Economic sciences" is a national scientific peer-reviewed journal with mission to make research and knowledge accessible to everyone without discrimination.

The mission: We promote theoretical and empirical research in politics, sociology, and economics at the company, municipal, regional, federal, and international levels. We encourage exchange of ideas and experience to turn the latest scientific achievements into social, political, and economic reality.

The purpose: We bring together readers and research in the spheres of politics, sociology, and economics, thus promoting effective scientific discussions and sharing best practices.

The tasks:

to provide public access to Russian and foreign socio-political and economic studies;
to boost scientific discussions and exchange of experience;
to establish and cement ties between scientists and research teams worldwide;
to encourage young researchers to publish their results.

The target audience: Scientists, practitioners, academics, and students interested in political studies, sociology, and economics.

The journal publishes original scientific and review articles, reviews in the following areas:

Regional and sectoral economics
Finance, money circulation and credit
Management Social structure, social institutions and processes
Sociology of Management
Political institutions, processes and technologies

The Journal is recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation for Academic Degrees and Titles for publishing the dissertation research results. The Journal belongs to Top Category (K2) of scientific periodicals as classified by the Higher Attestation Commission. The Journal is included in the current version of the "White List" (Russia) – the third level.

All manuscripts that have passed the initial selection stage are subject to a mandatory double-blind peer review. Reviewers will be appointed by the editorial board. The peer review can be conducted by the members of the Editorial Board or by acknowledged academic specialists in the sphere.

"Bulletin of Kemerovo State University. Series: Political, Sociological, and Economic sciences" use native Russian-language plagiarism detection software Antiplagiat to screen the submissions. If plagiarism is identified, the COPE guidelines on plagiarism will be followed.

All articles submitted after January 1, 2026, require a publishing charge of 10,000 rubles (if paid in rubles) and 125 US dollars (if paid in US dollars) regardless of volume, language, graphics, etc. All articles submitted after August 1, 2026, require a publishing charge of 20,000 rubles and 255 US dollars. Submission and peer review are free of charge, which means that you pay the article publishing charge only after you have received a positive review and your manuscript have been accepted for publication by the Chief Editor. The Journal is an open-access journal. All articles are made freely available to readers immediately upon publication. Our open-access policy is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition.

All articles included in the journal “Bulletin of Kemerovo State University. Series: Political, Sociological, and Economic sciences” are published and distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).

Each issue of the Bulletin should be certainly sent to the federal government agency for the press, mass media, and mass communications, to the Russian State Library, and to other leading libraries, educational and scientific institutions of the Russian Federation.
